ABOUT US
The Initial Vehicle Crossing application costs £189.55. The fee is non-refundable and covers a site visit, a search of underground apparatus (i.e. gas, electric) and administration processes.
If your application is approved an Application to Implement by Road Opening Notice costs £150.00 and is payable by your chosen contractor.

Here at DropKerb-Essex we specialize in the installation of drop kerbs and off-road parking areas in Essex and the surrounding area's. Dropkerb-Essex hold the relevant Street Accreditation Certificates and £10M Public Liability Insurance and We are also a NRSWA Accredited Company in compliance with Essex County Council regulations. We have many years experience in installing drop kerbs. We also cover installations of new driveways and drainage if required. If you decide to have a drop kerb and want more information we can visit your property and take the correct measurements and see what public utility services are present, whether you are on a main road etc and any other consideration that would be needed for planning permission.
We offer a choice of installation services
Option 1
We undertake the groundwork and install the dropped kerb over the required area to create access for your parking space.
Option
2
We undertake the groundwork, install the drop kerb plus drainage.
Option 3
Upgrade to a blocked paved or resin, concrete, tarmac area.
